Happy Tuesday!

Tuesday - always a funny day.  The week is only just starting yet I'm already thinking about the weekend.  Why do I spend so much time wishing my life away?  sometimes it seems that that's all i do!

I'm still trying to get my head round the fact that I have to start writing this 50,000 word 'thing' in a couple of days.  waiting for inspiration to strike is very tiring!  I've sort of decided on what I'm going to do but there is a second idea bubbling way in the background.  how am i supposed to sort out which one to go with?

Had a good weekend though - saw new Bond film & was blown away - mostly with how lovely Daniel Craig is!!

Knitting & writing

As October draws to a close I'm starting to panic - as of 1st November I've committed to writing 50,000 words in a novel writing challenge!  No inspiration - what the heck do I do?  The more I think about it, the less I know what to write about.  A tiny idea came to me last night - something about how scary it is to find your turning into my mother!

I've also accepted a challenge to knit part of a scarf with 4 other lovely ladies - so far I've bought the wool & think I know what I'm going to do.

 We'll all have a unique scarf for Xmas & I've made some new friends, or at least that's what I hope they become.

First Time For Everything

I can't count the number of times I've started a blog, got confused, lost the address etc etc.

So here I go again & hopefully all will work out this time!

Background - I'm an unemployed 54 year old Brummie living in Abingdon.  I have aspirations to be a writer but so far I've only scribbled; I'm not confident enough to let anyone else see what I've done either (my sister has seen a little but that's all so far!)

I am nutty about my cats, enjoy baking, knitting, reading & writing, watching footy & Strictly!

As I'm new to this the blog looks a bit dull so I'll have to find out how to jazz it up - any ideas?
